Message From JLYSSL
The
winter rains have finally arrived just in time for the ramp up of the soccer
year here in JLYSSL. We all want and need the rain in order to grow the
grass on our precious fields but sometimes it can amount to too much at
the wrong time. March brings the start of the tryouts for competitive soccer
in JLYSSL. Bay Oaks and our class I program and each of our member clubs
and their class III programs have tryouts on board soon. [See
the article below for more info on tryouts] But the recent rains could
be playing havoc with those schedules.
If your child would like to step up to the next level of competitive soccer to grow their skills and play at a higher level we encourage you to check out all the class I and class III opportunities in our league. Each of these programs offer some sort of financial aid so that no child is left out of the chance to play competitive soccer. Be sure and check out what is offered from each program if you are in need of assistance with fees for competitive soccer.
Spring soccer games are also just around the corner as the season kicks off in late March and runs through May. Be sure and read the information in this newsletter about new rules and requirements for teams.
Our U6-U8 Coaches and Player Academy Program kicks off soon. This exciting new addition to our training options in JLYSSL should provide new levels of skill and coaching foundation for our youth players that can only benefit the whoole community. Response has been strong so far and many of our young players have signed up to participate. Registration is now taking place.
